Negative Filter, based out of San Diego, is a Binational project, with musicians form San Diego and Tijuana, was formed back in the summer of 2003 in Tijuana Mexico where they performed in local venues and music festivals across the state, current members includes Daniel J. – vocals and guitar, Alex Brahms – Drums and Joel Sotomayor – Bass.
In 2005, the three-piece alternative rock band decided to take it to the next level and cross their music over the border, gaining immediate acceptance by performing in well know venues all over San Diego and Los Angeles, and by releasing a five song demo CD.
NF, whose genre can be classified as alternative rock is easily seperated from the rest by their melodic, powerful, dark sound and their roots that dig deep into metal, hard rock, progressive, and blues
